OREANDA-NEWS Kiev is grateful to its Western partners for financial support in the amount of $ 100 billion over the past two and a half years, but it must also raise additional funds to the budget and introduce new measures to bring the labor market out of the shadows. About this at the forum "Ukraine 2024. Independence" was declared by the Prime Minister of the republic Denis Shmygal, Interfax-Ukraine reports.

According to him, the government will begin to act on the principle of "Fight or work", which will not only increase fees, but also increase the number of jobs and average salaries in industries.

Among other things, the authorities will increase domestic borrowing, income tax rates for banks, expand the base for military collection and raise its rates in some cases.

Earlier, the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine reported that in the period from January to July 2024, defense and security sector expenditures from the state budget in Ukraine exceeded $ 24 billion, of which $ 3.9 billion separately in July.
