OREANDA-NEWS The Russian government will extend the state program "Integrated Rural Development" to the Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics, Zaporizhia and Kherson regions, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said at a meeting with deputy prime ministers on Monday.

During the meeting, Mishustin recalled that within the framework of the program, housing is being built in the regions of the Russian Federation, infrastructure is being created, public spaces are being improved, regional and local roads are being repaired, social facilities are being built and modernized, and conditions for sports are being created. This year, the budget provides 70 billion rubles for these purposes, now 85 regions receive them, the prime minister stressed.

"Of course, all Russian entities should have these opportunities. Therefore, we will accordingly extend the program to the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics, Zaporizhia and Kherson regions. There were conditions for agriculture there before, which, despite the difficult situation, allow us to harvest good crops. The decision will be an additional incentive for local farmers. Including, which is very important, the creation of new jobs," Mishustin said.

He stressed that appropriate financing for rural areas in the new regions of the Russian Federation should be provided in the federal budget for 2025.
