OREANDA-NEWS. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, against the backdrop of an increase in the incidence of coronavirus in the country, called on citizens to turn off social networks, "turn on the brain" and start getting vaccinated.

Oleksiy Danilov, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, said earlier that the number of deaths from coronavirus could reach a thousand per day in early November, and urged Ukrainians to be vaccinated. According to him, the NSDC exposed a whole network of campaigners against coronavirus vaccination, in which a certain "church" is involved.

"I very much ask you to turn off social networks specifically on this issue (vaccination) and turn on all the brain. We need to be vaccinated, today these are not horror stories, but the only solution. We need to be afraid not of horror stories in the media and social networks, but specifically of the virus," - Zelensky said during a meeting of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities in Odessa, which was broadcast on the page of the president's office on Facebook. According to him, the authorities intend to increase the rate of vaccination to almost 300 thousand per day.

Since September 23, Ukraine has moved from the "green" to the "yellow" quarantine zone due to the worsening epidemiological situation. Since October 15, the Kherson region has entered the "red" zone for COVID-19. Also, from October 18, the "red" level of the epidemic danger of the spread of COVID-19 began to operate in the Zaporozhye, Odessa, Donetsk and Dnepropetrovsk regions. Later, the Nikolaev and Rivne regions also moved to the "red zone". In the "red" zone, cinemas, cafes, restaurants, gyms, theaters and other places will work provided that employees of institutions and visitors are 100% vaccinated.

Earlier, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine extended the "adaptive" quarantine due to the coronavirus until December 31. This quarantine model provides for restrictions in specific regions. Four zones of epidemiological danger have been introduced: "green", "yellow", "orange" and "red".
