OREANDA-NEWS. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky commented on the threats of Belarusian President Lukashenko to cut off Ukraine from electricity and gasoline supplies in the event of a war between Kiev and Moscow. This is reported by the publication "Strana.ua".
“One comrade, a man from Belarus, said that if there is an escalation, they will stop supplying electricity. I asked to provide statistics on the exchange of goods. $6 billion. Of these, Ukraine exports $1.5 billion, Belarus - $4.5 billion,” Zelensky said.
According to him, if Belarus takes the promised measures, then people will suffer, and countries will go into the Stone Age. The President of Ukraine promised to take retaliatory measures.
Earlier, Lukashenko, in an interview with TV presenter Vladimir Solovyov, threatened to deprive Ukraine of electricity in the event of a war with Russia.
If Kiev enters into a military confrontation with Moscow and starts to conduct hostilities in the Donbass, then Minsk will stop supplying electricity and fuel and lubricants (fuels and lubricants) to Ukraine, Lukashenka threatened.
The head of Belarus also doubted that the Ukrainian authorities make decisions on their own, and recalled the assurances of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky that there are no large concentrations of Ukrainian military near the Russian border.
