OREANDA-NEWS President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky decided to open the Chernobyl exclusion zone for tourists. This should be a point of economic growth.

Earlier, the head of state decided to save on a military parade. At the same time, it is impossible to quickly fill the budget - the announced reforms must be approved by the new composition of the Verkhovna Rada.

According to the head of the Ukrainian state, the decree will be the beginning of the transformation of the exclusion zone into one of the growth points of the new Ukraine. Zelensky hopes that in this way he will be able to attract many tourists, and the prerequisites for corruption will disappear.

Chernobyl is known because of the accident at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant. Before the accident, about 13 thousand people lived in the city. According to the data of the All-Ukrainian census of 2001, Chernobyl (like Pripyat) is referred to the cities “without population”.
