This was announced on Thursday by Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova in an interview with the Russian news radio station.

“At the moment, our embassy in Kyrgyzstan has already commented on the situation - they said that we certainly consider this event as an internal affair of the country. Also, the embassy issued a recommendation to the Russians to avoid the area of ​​the operation if it continues. I think we’ll give a deeper assessment of these events a little later", she said.

"The deputies refused to consider the draft resolution on the introduction of a state of emergency in Kyrgyzstan", a spokesman said. Atambaev led Kyrgyzstan from 2011 to 2017 and became the first president to voluntarily resign after a full first term.
