OREANDA-NEWS In the Serbian ethnic settlement Drvengrad, the Kustendorf Classic Festival of Classical Music started, organized by Emir Kusturica. The forum opened with the performance of viola player Yuri Bashmet.

This year, in addition to classical music concerts, film screenings and theatrical performances will be held at the festival. On the first day of the festival, viewers saw the short “Pulse” of Damir Romanov.

The head of Rossotrudnichestvo, Alexander Radkov, presented the festival with an honorary sign “For friendship and cooperation” to Emir Kusturica.

More than 50 musicians from Serbia, Republika Srpska, Belarus, Germany, Russia and Montenegro will take part in the competition program of classic Kustendorf classic. The winners will be determined by a jury consisting of Ekaterina Dulova, rector of the Belarusian State Academy of Music, composer Anya Djordjevic and pianist Aleksandar Madzhar.
