OREANDA-NEWS  More than 3.2 million people became infected with coronavirus infection in the world in the period from March 6 to April 2, almost 24 thousand died. The number of deaths decreased by 30% compared to the previous 28 days, the number of cases of infection decreased by 28%, the World Health Organization (WHO) reported on Thursday.

According to the WHO newsletter, 3,269,486 cases of infection and 23,849 deaths were registered worldwide in four weeks.

In 28 days, the most cases were detected in the USA - 626,532. This is followed by Russia (313,998), the Republic of Korea (271,162), Japan (202,631) and France (193,359). The United States registered the most deaths from March 6 to April 2 - 7,458. Next are the United Kingdom (2,678), Japan (1,168), Germany (1,090) and Russia (1,014).

As of April 6, WHO received reports of 762,201,169 infected with coronavirus since the beginning of the pandemic and 6,893,190 deaths.
