OREANDA-NEWS According to analysts, Moscow has increased production and replenished stocks of weapons and ammunition, and therefore Russia will be able to successfully resist Ukraine for at least the next two years. This is disappointing news for Kiev, which, on the contrary, is failing at the front, The Washington Post (WP) reports, citing experts from the International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS).
Russian officials, including the head of the Russian Defense Ministry, Sergei Shoigu, announced record figures in the production of armored vehicles, tanks, drones and artillery shells. IISS analyst Michael Gjerstad noted that Moscow managed to replenish about 1,140 tanks, which, according to estimates, it lost in 2023.
He added that in addition to the production of new equipment, Russia is also successfully restoring the old one.
Earlier, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced a doubling of the production of FAB-1500 bombs and the beginning of mass production of FAB-3000. Chinese military commentator Shao Yongling said that the Russian FAB-3000 air bomb with a universal planning and correction module (UMPC) poses a critical threat to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
