OREANDA-NEWS Preparation took place in the central military district.

At 6:00 on June 24, all directorates of the Central Military District, as well as part of the troops of the Eastern and Southern Military Districts, and some airborne formations were put on alert.

According to Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, measures are aimed at assessing the capabilities of the army in providing security in the Central Asian region. Threats of terrorism remain there.

The other goal of the test is to determine how ready the troops and forces are to take part in the command-staff exercises Center-2019.
