Vice-Governor Chemezov Declared Guilt of Victims after Brutal Beating of Russian Women by Migrants
OREANDA-NEWS After the brutal beating of two Russian women by migrant teenagers at a bus stop in Yekaterinburg, the vice-governor of the Sverdlovsk region, Oleg Chemezov, declared the guilt of women who become victims of such attacks allegedly because of their behavior. He expressed his thoughts on this in an interview 66.RU.
"The young girls themselves today have an image of behavior formed in such a way that they allow themselves to smoke, drink, swear, dress frivolously. I'm not saying that they should all wear hijabs here. It's just that if a girl behaves in such a way that she looks easily accessible, then a young man believes that she can be used as an object," the official said.
According to him, he is not a supporter of "hard Islamism" or inequality, but supports cultural education. "Because a girl should wear her femininity with pride," Chemezov explained.
The press service of the regional government told the "Rise" that Chemezov's words were interpreted incorrectly. "It's not like that at all. Not as interpreted as he said. Here you need to focus on the official materials that have already been released. They are exhaustive," the authorities explained.
The attack on a 48-year-old woman and her 20-year-old daughter occurred on February 11, the incident became known on February 16. Five passengers began to molest the girl and slap her. Then she called her mother and asked her to meet her. After that, migrants started beating Russians at the bus stop.
