OREANDA-NEWS  In Russia, they compared the humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza with the blockade of Leningrad during World War II, said the Russian Permanent Representative to the UN Vasily Nebenzya. He noted that thousands of Gazans suffer from shelling every day and cannot receive medical and humanitarian assistance.

The situation in Gaza is getting worse every day. Russia advocates an immediate ceasefire to avoid even more casualties. Earlier, Israel announced a complete blockade of Gaza and left residents without water, electricity and medicine.
