OREANDA-NEWS Until January 1, 2026, Uzbekistan has extended zero duties on imports of 39 categories of food and industrial products, as per a decree issued by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev. The decree, which can be accessed through RIA Novosti, states that the zero duties on these categories of products were introduced or extended in March 2023 until January 1, 2024, with the aim of stabilizing the prices of imported food into Uzbekistan.

The specified list includes meat products, fish, milk, cream, butter, eggs, bananas, citrus fruits, fruits, onions, and certain vegetables, coffee, tea, vegetable oils, flour, cereals, flour and pasta, cheeses, carbonated drinks and mineral water, and canned vegetables and fruits.

The zero import duty has also been extended until the end of 2025 for the import of cosmetics (hair products, before and after shaving, indoor deodorants), children's clothing, and shoes.

Until the end of 2025, the exemption from the application of double customs duty rates will continue to apply to products manufactured and exported from countries with which Uzbekistan does not have a preferential trade agreement.
