OREANDA-NEWS  In an annual report on the assessment by the American intelligence community of various threats to the United States in the world, experts called Russia the strongest adversary for America. It is noted that Russia does not seek a direct conflict with the United States, but remains a threat and largest adversary in cyberspace. The publicly available part of the document was published on the website of the Office of the Director of US National Intelligence.

The report assesses the Russian Federation as a powerful adversary in cyberspace, space exploration and weapons of mass destruction. The Russian state allegedly directs its capabilities to an attempt to "manage the course of world events as the main player in a new multipolar world order."

The report also predicts that Russia will continue to expand its global influence, forging alliances with both opponents and allies of the United States.
