OREANDA-NEWS. US authorities have decided to extend for 60 days the exclusion from sanctions on the Iranian nuclear program. This is stated in a statement released on Monday by the head of the State Department’s press service, Morgan Ortegus. "The USA will extend four measures with respect to the Iranian regime’s nuclear program for another 60 days", it was informed.
As explained by Reuters, thanks to this, companies from Russia, China and European countries will be able to continue activities for the peaceful use of nuclear energy at nuclear facilities in Iran, without risking falling under the influence of American restrictive measures. This, in particular, is about the Bushehr nuclear power plant, as well as about the nuclear facility in Arak.
On November 5, 2018, the United States renewed sanctions against Iran in full. Under them fell the export of Iranian oil, as well as more than 700 banks, companies and individuals. This happened after Washington left the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) for the Iranian nuclear program on May 8, 2018, and the future of the nuclear deal was in doubt.
