As Brady wrote on Twitter, “Today, a House of Representatives doctor informed me that I tested positive for COVID-19, I am in quarantine. As recommended, I received my first dose of Pfizer vaccine on December 18 and recently tested negative for COVID on New New Day of the year". He noted that he will start treatment tomorrow.

In the United States, vaccines from Pfizer and Moderna are currently approved for use. Previously, there was evidence that even a reduced dose of the vaccine can cause sustained immunity, but this data has not yet been confirmed. Moncef Slowey, the vaccine adviser to incumbent President Donald Trump, previously said that the US authorities are discussing the possibility of giving some people a half dose of Moderna coronavirus vaccine to speed up the vaccination campaign. The US medical regulator, the FDA, has advised not to reduce the dose of the COVID vaccine, despite the emerging data.

Earlier, the media reported the death of two people who were vaccinated with the Pfizer vaccine - a doctor from Portugal and a 91-year-old patient of a nursing home from Switzerland. The cause of their death is now being investigated.
