OREANDA-NEWS. Turkey crossed the border by testing the radar stations (SAR) of the S-400 anti-aircraft missile systems (SAM) acquired from Russia. This opinion was expressed on Monday by Congressman Sen. Christopher Van Hollen, commenting on the announcement by the Turkish authorities of their intention to begin testing radar systems S-400.
“Two weeks after his visit to the White House, Erdogan shows his nose to Donald Trump, as well as to the United States and NATO, crossing the next red line for the S-400. Existing US law requires Trump to impose sanctions on Turkey for the acquisition of the S-400 air defense system", the American lawmaker wrote on his Twitter page. Under this message, he posted a link to a publication about the beginning of Turkey’s test of the S-400 radar systems.
The White House’s National Security Council and the US State Department haven't answered the question of the Russian media correspondent about whether the current step of Turkey will have any special significance from the point of view of Washington’s possible sanctions against Ankara or the development of further decisions by the Americans regarding Turkey and the program the creation of fifth-generation fighter-bombers F-35.
