US and China to Set Up Working Group to Tackle Climate Change
The decision was made during a meeting of representatives of China and the United States in Alaska. From the United States side, Secretary of State Anthony Blinken and National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan attended. From the Chinese side, Yang Jiechi, head of the office of the CPC Central Committee's foreign affairs commission, and Wang Yi, head of the Foreign Ministry, were present.
Earlier, scientists at the University of Exeter and Queen Mary University of London in the UK found that global warming could reduce the efficiency of food chains in the oceans and threaten the survival of large animals.
