OREANDA-NEWS Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) were destroyed over the Kursk and Belgorod regions. The Ministry of Defense informed journalists about new attempts by the Armed Forces of Ukraine to attack Russian regions.

It is noted that on September 9, from 10:40 to 12:20 Moscow time, Russian troops stopped a number of attempts to attack targets in the country.

According to the defense Ministry, air defense systems destroyed three Ukrainian drones over the Belgorod region and another over the Kursk region. Earlier, a resident of the Kursk region told about the rescue from drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the river. "We were on a boat, on a motorboat [sailing]. We were transported. And then the drones came back, I had to hide in the river. Grandma had to stand in the river for an hour," she said.

Fighting with Ukrainian troops has been going on in the Kursk region since August 6. A counter-terrorism operation regime has been introduced in this region, as well as in the Belgorod and Bryansk regions. At the moment, nothing is known about the fate of people who are in the territories controlled by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
