Ukraine has Transferred Troops to the Russian Border Near Crimea
OREANDA-NEWS. The Ukrainian military deployed a Buk air defense missile system to the Russian border for training. This was announced by the country's Ministry of Defense on its Facebook page.
"As part of the tactical training of air defense units performing tasks on the administrative border with the temporarily occupied territory of Crimea, training of combat crews of Buk anti-aircraft missile systems of a conditional enemy took place," the department reports.
Ukraine is constantly threatening to return Crimea. So, Petro Poroshenko, addressing the Crimean Tatars and all Ukrainian Muslims on the occasion of the Eid al-Adha, promised to make Crimea a part of his country within a year.
Moscow has repeatedly stated that the Crimeans, in full compliance with international law and the UN Charter, voted for reunification with Russia. As Vladimir Putin emphasized, the issue of Crimea is "finally closed."
A day earlier, Valentin Badrak, director of the Center for Army Research, Conversion and Disarmament, said in an interview with the Internet TV channel Hromadske.tv that in order to fight Russia, Ukraine should invest in rocketry.
"If we had ten battalions of Neptune missile systems in the Navy, then Russian ships would not go as brazenly as they do today," the expert emphasized, calling them "weapons of the future."
