"I can confirm that two people have passed away", he said. The third victim is hospitalized. It was previously reported that three civilians were injured who did work for the US Department of Defense. Chadwick noted that the shooting was opened by a man who served in the US Navy. He shot himself. What motives he was guided by, is not yet specified. The base is located near the city of Honolulu (Hawaii). Due to the incident, access to its territory was closed. Now it is open again.

Hawaii Governor David Ige tweeted that the White House had offered its help. Shooting occurred just three days after the 78th anniversary of the Japanese military attack on Pearl Harbor, which killed more than 2,300 people.
