OREANDA-NEWS Two Russians lady, tourists from Moscow and Nizhnevartovsk, who got sick while on holiday in Turkey, were urgently evacuated by a special board to medical facilities in their homeland.

As explained in the insurance company, this is the first case of emergency transportation of tourists this year, ATOR reports.

According to the insurers, vacationers got to local medical institutions with serious illnesses in June. Both cases were recognized as insurance.

Tourists needed long-term treatment, the cost of which could exceed the amount of insurance coverage. In case of continued treatment in Turkey, their relatives would have to pay part of the funds themselves. To avoid this, it was decided to conduct their emergency evacuation to Russia. Turkish doctors confirmed that the flight is safe for the sick. Previously, due to the serious condition of the patients, the doctors refused to transport them.
