Two Russians Detained in Uruguay for Helping Italian Mafia
OREANDA-NEWS Interpol detained two Russians in Uruguay on suspicion of assisting the Italian mafia escaping from prison, Subrayado writes. This is also reported by Ecos.
It is noted that the operation was carried out at a pizzeria in Montevideo, Interpol officers with the assistance of the local Republican Guard. The institution was detained a Russian citizen and an Italian, as well as a Russian woman who worked as a cook in a cafe, the newspaper notes. According to him, they are suspected of involvement in the escape from prison of drug lord Rocco Morabito. Interpol interrogates them. Police carried out operational activities in other parts of the country.
Ecos said that the Russian and Italian called themselves the owners of the institution. Together with a woman, a minor was brought to Interpol headquarters, the portal indicates.
