OREANDA-NEWS. Turkish Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy hopes that air traffic with Russia suspended due to coronavirus will resume from mid-July. He said this on Thursday in an exclusive interview with the Russian media.

“Trips within domestic tourism will begin in late May, and their number will continue to grow in June. We hope that air traffic will begin to recover from many countries, primarily Asian and European, in the middle of June. I hope that air travel with Russia will resume from mid-July", said the head of the Ministry of Culture of the republic.

According to Ersoy, in Turkey "every day the number of new cases of infection with coronavirus is rapidly declining", and in this regard, restrictions are gradually being lifted. Ersoy noted that passengers at busy tourist airports in Turkey will take a coronavirus test if they did not pass the test 72 hours before arriving in the country.
