OREANDA-NEWS  American journalist Tucker Carlson said that after the interview with Russian President Vladimir Putin, they had a personal conversation. He told The Wall Street Journal about this.

The journalist said that he had talked with the Russian leader about Ukraine. Putin, according to Carlson, was worried that the Russian-Ukrainian conflict could lead to a nuclear standoff.

In addition, Carlson noted, the Russian president was disappointed that he had not communicated with U.S. President Joe Biden since 2022.

The American journalist also said that he asked Putin about the fate of "secret" Russian documents related to one of the leaders of Nazi Germany, Rudolf Hess. However, the head of state did not answer the journalist's questions.

Earlier, the fate of Putin's gift to Carlson became known. It was reported that a journalist from the United States keeps a folder with historical documents, which was presented to him by the President of Russia, at his home.

Putin's interview with Carlson was published on the night of February 9th. In a conversation that lasted more than two hours, they discussed the course of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict, as well as the participation of the United States in it.
