OREANDA-NEWS. U.S. President Donald Trump said Thursday that US officials receive little money from Europe to defend against Russia. The US president said that for many years, NATO has won at the expense of the United States. We protect Europe from Russia, while the defense spending of the alliance countries is constantly decreasing - the last 15-18 years.

According to the US president, because of such statements, European leaders don't like him, unlike his predecessor, Barack Obama. Earlier, the US House of Representatives is considering the adoption of a bill that would block funding from the US budget for military operations in Iran and against the Islamic Republic without the appropriate approval of lawmakers.

Another initiative is called to cancel the permission given to the US President in 2002 by Congress to use military force against terrorists in Iraq.
