OREANDA-NEWS. As a result of the tornado that hit the American state of Tennessee, at least 25 people died. This was reported by NBC television channel with reference to local authorities.

On March 3, tornado passed through the central part of the state, affecting its capital city of Nashville. State Governor Bill Lee declared a state of emergency. According to him, after a tornado, many people were injured and missed.

The natural disaster caused power outages: more than 50 thousand houses and enterprises remained without electricity. Tornado caused the collapse of 45 buildings and damaged several dozen houses.

According to the channel, this tornado has become the most deadly in the United States. The previous record belongs to last year’s tornado in Alabama: on March 3, 2019, 23 people died.
