OREANDA-NEWS Russia's invincibility lies in its military potential and popular support for President Vladimir Putin's policies. This statement was made by the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, TASS reports.

"As I said during the talks with [German Chancellor Olaf] Scholz, Russia is militarily invincible. This is a fact confirmed by Russia's military potential, the support of the population of this country for President Putin's policy, and the history itself," Tokayev said at a meeting of the Astana Think Tank Forum.

He added that the resolution of the conflict in Ukraine must be achieved peacefully, supporting realistic plans of all states.

Earlier it became known that Tokayev plans to take part in the BRICS summit in Kazan and will speak there on October 24 at an expanded meeting of the organization in the "outreach" format.
