Tikhanovskaya announced a peaceful revolution in Belarus

OREANDA-NEWS. The leader of the Belarusian opposition Svetlana Tikhanovskaya (pictured) announced the beginning of a peaceful revolution in Belarus.
“We are no longer the opposition. We represent the majority. A peaceful revolution is taking place now, ”she said.
Tikhanovskaya added that the opposition is ready for a dialogue with the authorities. “Our task is to achieve the holding of new presidential elections peacefully, through dialogue,” the politician emphasized.
Earlier on August 25, Tikhanovskaya announced that the voting in the presidential elections was accompanied by massive violations. According to her, the election results were falsified.
On August 19, the Coordination Council, created by the Belarusian opposition, announced the goals of its activity. In particular, they are going to seek a solution to the political crisis through dialogue with the authorities, renunciation of violence against protesters and the release of all political prisoners, as well as holding new elections. President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko accused the council of attempting to seize power, calling its participants "openly cheeky Nazis." Soon a criminal case was opened on the fact of the creation of the council.
