OREANDA-NEWS  Three million people took part in a farewell ceremony with Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi in Mashhad. RIA Novosti writes about this.

Raisi was buried in the Mausoleum of Imam Reza. The ceremony was attended by the family of the deceased, high-ranking and officials of the country. Earlier, a video appeared from the funeral ceremony of the Iranian president who died in the plane crash.

Yesterday it was reported that State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin, who heads the Russian delegation at the farewell ceremony with Ebrahim Raisi, delivered a message from Russian leader Vladimir Putin. According to Volodin, the Russian Federation will preserve the bright memory of Raisi as an outstanding politician, a true patriot of his country and a true friend.

Recall that on May 20, it was reported that as a result of the crash, all passengers of the helicopter of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi were killed. Besides the Iranian leader, Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian, Governor of East Azerbaijan province Malek Rahmati and Friday Imam of Tabriz Mohammad Ali Ale Hashem were on board the aircraft.
