OREANDA-NEWS  The United States has information about the arrival in Russia of three thousand military personnel from North Korea. This statement was made by the coordinator of strategic communications of the National Security Council of the White House, John Kirby, at a briefing.

"North Korea has sent at least three thousand soldiers to the eastern part of Russia. According to our assessment, these soldiers on the ship arrived from North Korea to Vladivostok, then to various training units in eastern Russia," the White House representative expressed the opinion.

At the same time, Kirby clarified that the United States does not have information about whether the military from North Korea located in Russia will participate in military operations in Ukraine.

Earlier, The Financial Times newspaper, citing Ukrainian officials, wrote that North Korea had sent about 12 thousand military personnel to Russia. It was claimed that there were "special forces" among these soldiers.

In turn, Vladimir Zelensky stated that Kiev had data that the military from the DPRK, consisting of two brigades of six thousand people, were allegedly preparing to participate in the Ukrainian conflict on the side of Russia. At the same time, the North Korean mission to the United Nations denied rumors about sending military personnel to Russia, calling this information unfounded.
