OREANDA-NEWS  The Vatican would like to believe the words of Russian President Vladimir Putin about his desire to end the conflict in Ukraine, said Cardinal Pietro Parolin, Secretary of State of the Holy See. His words are quoted by TASS.

"I hope they are trustworthy, we all hope so," he said, answering a corresponding question from journalists about whether Putin can be trusted.

Earlier, Pope Francis said that more and more Western countries see the futility of arms supplies to Kiev and the continuation of the Ukrainian conflict.
