OREANDA-NEWS. Belarusian Defense Minister Viktor Khrenin said that the impression is that Poland wants to unleash the conflict by dragging the EU into it.

“One gets the impression that our neighbors, including Poland, within the framework of resolving their internal political problems, as well as problems within the European Union, are ready to unleash a conflict into which they want to draw Europe. We want to warn the“ hotheads ”- the language of blackmail and threats is unacceptable. Belarusian forces are ready to respond harshly to any attacks, "Sputnik Belarus quotes the minister as saying.

He stressed that "the created system of response to any threats and challenges allows us to ensure the country's security, including, if necessary, with our main strategic ally - the Russian Federation."

Earlier, the Ministry of Defense of Belarus said that Poland's decision to concentrate 15,000 troops, tanks, air defense systems, and other heavy weapons near the border with Belarus cannot be called an adequate response to the migration crisis. The ministry said that this is more like the creation of shock groupings of troops, and stressed that the actions of the Polish military run counter to all international and bilateral agreements. Poland has increased the number of security forces against the background of the appearance of a spontaneous refugee camp in the amount of about two thousand people on the Belarusian-Polish border at the Bruzgi checkpoint in the Grodno region of Belarus.

Head of the Department of International Military Cooperation of the Ministry of Defense of Belarus Oleg Voinov said earlier that, given the reluctance of the Polish military leadership to enter into dialogue, Minsk is forced to take adequate response measures "both independently and within the framework of existing agreements with a strategic ally - the Russian Federation."
