"Our vaccination program is going according to plan ... The total number of vaccinations is 10,031,751," said the head of the department, Fahrettin Koji, on Twitter.

In January, Turkey began vaccination against coronavirus with the Chinese drug CoronaVac.

Turkey is also preparing for the production of the Russian vaccine against COVID-19 "Sputnik V".

Earlier, the Turkish authorities extended the requirement for passengers arriving in the country, according to which they need to provide a negative PCR test for coronavirus.

This requirement applies to everyone who arrives in Turkey by land, air or sea transport. You must take the test 72 hours before the trip.
