OREANDA-NEWS The results of the referendum on Moldova's accession to the European Union changed overnight in an impossible way, Leonid Kalashnikov, head of the State Duma Committee on CIS Affairs, told RIA Novosti.
At the referendum on Moldova's accession to the European Union, according to preliminary data from the Central Election Commission, after processing 98.38% of the protocols, 50.07% of voters voted for European integration. The current head of state, Maya Sandu, who is running for a second term, is in the lead in the presidential elections held on the same day - she has 41.92% of the votes.
"Crooks, pure crooks... Here they allegedly pretend to be some kind of Democrats, while overnight the results changed in an absolutely impossible way. Now it has become for Europe, but it was 47% yesterday," Kalashnikov said.
"It is Europe that comes to our elections, to the CIS, with ready-made statements, the OSCE/ODIHR so-called undemocratic elections, undemocratic referendums. And here, you see, everything is democratic. It is not for nothing that they have been praising for two months, but Georgia is being scolded for this law that they adopted on foreign agents, and Moldova will now be a beacon of democracy for them," the parliamentarian believes.
