OREANDA-NEWS US President-elect Donald Trump has said that his meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin is in preparation.

"He (Putin) wants to meet, and we are preparing it," Trump said before meeting with Republican governors at his Mar-a-Lago estate.

Trump added: "President Putin wants to meet, he even talked about it publicly."

He also reiterated that he wants to end the Ukrainian conflict. Earlier, Trump's special representative for Ukraine expressed the opinion that the conflict would be resolved "in the near future."
