OREANDA-NEWS. Restrictions could be toughened in the city and in the region if the number of daily cases exceeded 30 and the authorities faced a lack of hospital beds, said Mayor of South Korea's capital Park Won-soon.
South Korea's authorities confirmed that the second wave of the coronavirus infection's spread was in progress in the country, Jeong Eun-kyeong, chief of the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention told reporters on June 22. "We originally predicted that the second wave to emerge in fall or winter," Yonhap News Agency quoted Jeong Eun-kyeong as saying. "Our forecast turned out to be wrong," she said.
According to KCDC, the second wave of infections was caused by accidental outbreaks that engulfed Seoul in May.

The second wave of coronavirus in Russia may start in autumn. Vitaly Zverev, an immunologist, gave such a forecast to the Russian portal Ura.ru.
According to Zverev, in winter the spread of the infection will decline again. "In winter such viruses spread a little less than in autumn," he explained. At the same time he expressed the opinion that there will be no serious limitations due to coronavirus, as people will get used to it. "Everyone will understand that the consequences of disease are not as severe. A lot of people will get sick asymptomatically," said the doctor.
