The Russian government has allocated 3.9 billion rubles to support closed airports

OREANDA-NEWS The Government of the Russian Federation has allocated regular subsidies to support the operation of closed airports in the central and southern parts of the country - this time in the amount of more than 3.9 billion rubles for the period from December 2023 to March 2024.
The corresponding order has been published on the legal information portal. The funds are allocated from the reserve fund of the government, their manager is the Federal Air Transport Agency.
The support will be directed to partial reimbursement of expenses for ordinary activities and interest on loan agreements or loan agreements during the introduction of the temporary flight restriction regime.
It was reported that in 2023, more than 8 billion rubles were allocated from the reserve fund for these purposes, in 2022 - about 7 billion rubles. It was about supporting airports in Rostov-on-Don, Krasnodar, Anapa, Gelendzhik, Elista, Belgorod, Bryansk, Kursk, Voronezh and Simferopol, which were closed for security reasons on February 24, 2022.
In May of this year, the Elista Airport resumed operation. According to the Federal Air Transport Agency, almost 135 million rubles were allocated for its support during the period of restrictions.
