OREANDA-NEWS The Russian armed forces control more than 70% of the territory of the Zaporozhye region, Vladimir Rogov, a member of the main council of the military-civilian administration of the region, said on the air of the Komsomolskaya Pravda radio station. According to him, while the regional center and a small part of the agricultural zone of the region remain under the control of the Ukrainian military.

Earlier, a member of the main council of the military-civilian administration of the region, Volodymyr Rogov, said that the Zaporozhye region, after its complete liberation from the Ukrainian military, will head towards joining the Russian Federation as a full-fledged subject. He added that the region is not considering the option of separating the region into a republic. The official noted that the population is absolutely Russian in mentality.

Political scientist Sergei Markov told NEWS.ru that before joining Russia, the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions must be “liberated from foreign troops” and “denazify the consciousness” of local residents. He added that the capital of the latter, Zaporozhye, “is under the control of a puppet pro-American Ukrainian government.” Markov stressed that in the future both regions would have to be “hard disconnected” from all sources of information of the “Kyiv Russophobic regime” and all organizations of the “Bandera wing” would be banned.
