The ministry notes that good dynamics, in particular, are demonstrated by chocolate in packaged form (273.7 thousand tons; +6.6%), sugary products (659.7 thousand tons; +5.6%).
The Russian Federation is the fifth in the world in terms of confectionery production, which ranks fourth in the structure of Russian agricultural exports. Currently, domestic sweets are sold in 81 countries, and the main buyers - China and the EAEU countries - account for 63% of supplies, the Ministry of Agriculture notes.
"Despite the drastic changes in the global economy, the export direction remains a key priority for Russian confectioners," said Vyacheslav Lashmankin, Executive Director of Ascond, quoted in the message.
