OREANDA-NEWS  Pope Francis may resign from his post due to health problems. The Vatican started talking about the possible abdication of the Pope after he had surgery . In addition, in December, the pontiff will be 85 years old - the same was his predecessor Benedict XVI, when he abdicated. 

Earlier, that in July, the pontiff underwent surgery due to diverticular disease of the sigmoid colon. Surgery was performed under general anesthesia in a Roman hospital. 

And before that, the Pope was advised to go on a diet. The pontiff, who is known for his excellent appetite, had to give up his favorite dishes - pasta, pizza and cakes.
