OREANDA-NEWS  The Pentagon is concerned that Russian troops are trying to achieve success during the special operation in Ukraine. This was stated by the official representative of the US Department of Defense, Patrick Ryder, in a briefing that was broadcast on the Defense Now Youtube channel.

"We have partners all over the world who provide assistance to Ukraine. But the Russians took advantage of the situation on the battlefield. They are trying to achieve success, albeit gradually. This is worrying, of course," Ryder said.

The Pentagon spokesman added that Ukraine was "not helped in any way" by the delay in US aid, and said that Kiev's allies continue to work on providing assistance.

Earlier, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said that Ukraine is going through a critical stage of the conflict, as Russia is successfully advancing on several sectors of the front.
