OREANDA-NEWS  It is expected that all key BRICS partners will participate in the Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok, the head of the Ministry of Regional Development Alexei Chekunkov told reporters.

"Now, in connection with the expansion of the BRICS Group, in connection with the active work of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and, in general, with an active agenda in the Asia-Pacific region, we expect that all key BRICS and Asia-Pacific partners will participate in the WEF," Chekunkov said.

On Tuesday, Vladivostok hosted the 5th meeting of the intergovernmental Russian-Chinese commission for cooperation and development of the Far East and the Baikal region of the Russian Federation and the Northeast of China, jointly chaired by Vice Premier of the State Council of the People's Republic of China Zhang Guoqing and Vice Premier of Russia, Presidential Envoy to the Far Eastern Federal District Yuri Trutnev.

WEF-2024 will be held on September 3-6 at the Far Eastern Federal University campus in Vladivostok.
