The Ministry of Culture explained the refusal to film the new Guy Ritchie film

OREANDA-NEWS The submitted documents for the rental of Guy Ritchie's film "The Ministry of Non-Gentlemensy Affairs" did not comply with the requirements of the regulations for issuing a rental certificate, according to the press service of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation.
Earlier, the Volga Film Distribution Company reported that the film "Ministry of Non-Gentlemansy Affairs" had not received a rental certificate from the Ministry of Culture on the selected date, April 25th. The press office of Kinopoisk pointed out that one of the possible reasons for the refusal could be errors in the submitted documents or the fact that there are several similar films released on the same premiere date chosen by the licensee.The film "The Ministry of Non-Gentlemanly Affairs", directed by Guy Ritchie, has not received a rental certificate for screening both in cinemas and online, due to the fact that the submitted documents do not meet the requirements of Subparagraph "e" of Paragraph 18 of the Rules for issuing, refusing to issue and revoking a rental certificate for a film approved by the Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation No. 143 dated February 27, 2016.
The ministry has also confirmed that it has received a number of letters from Russian producers stating that dates for the release of other films produced by "The Ministry of Non-Gentlemanly Affairs" in cinemas have already been scheduled.The film was produced with the participation of "Plus Studio". Henry Cavill plays the main role in the film.
The plot revolves around a secret service that was created in the UK during World War II to combat the Nazis.
The film was scheduled for release in Russia on April 25. It is Richie's first film that has not received a rental certificate. His previous projects, "Operation Fortune: The Art of Winning", were legally released in big screens in 2023 as there are entries in the film rental certificate register.
