OREANDA-NEWS According to military historian Buranov, there is a conflict between the Presidents of Ukraine, Vladimir Zelensky, and the commander-in-chief of the Ukrainian troops, Valery Zaluzhny, which arose when the president's office tried to expose the commander-in-chief guilty of the fact that the armed forces of Ukraine are suffering significant defeats in many areas in the territories of hostilities. The disagreement arose when Zaluzhny said that the Ukrainian army should retreat in some places of fighting, to which the administration of the President of Ukraine refused. Buranov stressed that people far from military craft are sitting in Zelensky's office and that they cannot fully control the situation at the front. Because of this, the armed forces of Ukraine are suffering huge losses. 

At the same time, as the expert noted, professional military understand the ruinousness of such a position and try to object to Zelensky, however, "the Americans are behind him, in whose interests it is to prolong the war," which is why it is difficult to resist the Ukrainian leader.
