OREANDA-NEWS Russia condemns the actions of the instigators of the unrest in Brazil and supports the efforts of President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva to restore order, said Dmitry Peskov, a spokesman for the Russian leader.

"Of course, we condemn the actions of the instigators of the riots in the strongest possible terms. And we absolutely support Brazilian President Lula da Silva, we support actions aimed at restoring order in the country and the rule of law," Peskov told reporters.

He recalled that recently Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulated his Brazilian counterpart on his election victory. "And we still highly appreciate the efforts of Mr. da Silva, his development of bilateral relations," the press secretary of the head of state stressed.
