OREANDA-NEWS Italy positively assesses Russia's decision to return control of the Russian subsidiary to Ariston, the country's Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

The business of the Italian Ariston in Russia has been removed from the temporary management of the Gazprom structure, according to a decree by Russian President Vladimir Putin. In April last year, Putin transferred Ariston's Russian subsidiary, Ariston Thermo Rus, to the temporary management of Gazprom Household Systems.

"The Ministry of Foreign Affairs positively assesses the decision of the Russian Federation to return to Ariston the management of a manufacturing enterprise located in the Leningrad Region," the statement said.

The Italian company Ariston Group expressed satisfaction with Russia's decision to return control of its Russian subsidiary to it and considers it to be a decades-long recognized investment in the Russian Federation, executive director Paolo Merloni said in a statement. According to the communique, the Russian Federation restored Ariston Holding N.V. to ownership and full management of shares of its Russian subsidiary, Ariston Thermo Rus LLC.
