OREANDA-NEWS  OPEC estimates the drop in investments in oil production in the world at $ 500 billion a year, which could create problems in the field of energy security, said the Secretary General of the organization Haitham al-Geis.

"We see a significant decrease in investment in the oil sector. We are talking about about more than 500 billion dollars every year," he said at an international energy conference.

Al-Gates added that he fears the consequences of such a reduction in investments in terms of energy security and energy availability.
