OREANDA-NEWS The German defense concern Rheinmetall has disrupted the contract for the supply of artillery shells to Poland. This is reported by Rzeczpospolita.
"It is already August 2024, and we have not received a single shell," the publication claims.
The publication reports that Poland ordered 50,000 155 mm shells from the defense concern in 2022. According to the newspaper, the South African subsidiary of Rheinmetall Denel Munition was supposed to produce the shells.
The materials report that the failure of the contract could have occurred by the decision of the South African government, who feared that the shells "could get further into Ukraine."
Earlier it became known that the investigation into the case of the explosion of the Nord Stream and Nord Stream-2 gas pipelines led to a deterioration in relations between Germany and Poland.
