OREANDA-NEWS The first vessel used the temporary corridor opened by Kiev in the Black Sea, a container ship with more than 30 thousand tons of cargo left the port of Odessa, said the Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine Alexander Kubrakov.
According to him, the container ship has been in the Odessa port since February 23 last year. Now it is moving towards the Bosphorus with more than 30 thousand tons of cargo. Kubrakov noted that this is the first ship to leave the port of Odessa since July 16.
Earlier, the naval forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that Ukraine announced the opening of temporary corridors for merchant ships going to or from the Black Sea ports - Chernomorsk, Odessa and Yuzhny. On August 12th, Kiev announced the opening of registration of merchant ships ready to go on these routes "under the supervision of the Armed Forces of Ukraine", which will ensure their safety.
At the same time, the representative of the Naval forces of Ukraine Dmitry Pletenchuk admitted that it is currently impossible to guarantee the complete safety of the passage of vessels through temporary corridors in the Black Sea.
